UALR’s Information Science program is an engineering-related
program distinct from other computing-based disciplines. This
program is designed to produce graduates who will be well trained
in the techniques of problem solving, management of resources
and have the in-depth technical skills required to move into management
positions in areas of data system analysis and design, programming,
and asset integrations.
The information science experience will be accomplished through
adequate laboratory environments, lab time and hands-on projects
using appropriate software to aid in understanding the theory.
Graduates will be attractive to companies that want to enhance
the usefulness of their data, develop new data-based applications
or are interested in e-commerce.
